about
Noël Wells is a Los Angeles based actor, writer, director, filmmaker, musician, artist and voice over talent.
After graduating with a Radio-TV-Film degree in 2010 from the University of Texas in Austin, she worked as a motion graphics designer and editor and eventually saved enough money to move to Los Angeles to pursue her career in entertainment. She joined the UCB theater, produced dozens of her own sketch comedy videos, then later joined the cast of Saturday Night Live for the 2013-2014 season.
In 2015, she was cast on Netflix’s hit comedy “Master of None” as Rachel. The following year she went into production on her indie feature film “Mr. Roosevelt,” produced by Beachside. It went on to win numerous awards at film festivals including the Audience Award at SXSW as well as Best Narrative Feature at the Traverse City Film Festival and was bought by Netflix in 2017.
She self-released her debut album “It’s So Nice!” in 2019 and she continues to release music with her longtime collaborator David Thomas Jones.
She is currently working on a variety of scripted projects, including feature films as well as television development. She can also be heard on popular animated series including “Star Trek: Lower Decks,” “Craig of the Creek,” “Wander Over Yonder,” and “American Dad.”
As an avid photographer and doodler, her photography has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications, and she even has a few pieces in The New Yorker, often collaborating with Jason Katzenstein. She’s produced and directed several indie music videos for friends, and likes to DP from time to time.
